Legacy

Thank you for considering leaving such a special gift to Good News Broadcasting. Legacies come in various shapes and sizes but each one is valuable to us, not least because of the encouragement it gives. That our supporters should be so concerned that we continue teaching the Bible through media is very humbling and is the motivation to steward such carefully given funds as wisely as possible.

There are many costs involved in sending Bible teaching out into the world. Staffing is the most significant of our costs – good staff are essential to produce a volume of good Bible-based content, to publish and promote it on the various media platforms and to find new ways to send it out as far and wide as possible. The cost of air time on radio stations is also considerable and though some smaller stations play our programmes for free, others with a significantly higher listenership charge more to be able to cover their license fees. In addition of course there are all the usual costs of renting and running an office and keeping our equipment and systems up-to-date.

GNB is a listener-funded ministry – we rely solely on the giving of our supporters and we are extremely thankful for God’s provision through His people. Over the last 70 years GNB has been the recipient of legacies large and small which have accounted for a substantial part of our income, sustaining the work often when, humanly speaking, things have looked financially bleak. If you are able to give to the work in this way you can feel confident that your gift will be used as effectively as possible. Most supporters leave gifts to our general funds so that they can be used where most needed. We strongly recommend consulting an adviser when making your will. They will be able to explain the best way to leave a gift to Good News Broadcasting according to your circumstances. You may wish to leave a share of your estate or to leave a specific item or cash gift.
